Stanley Spencer – the artist, his work and connections with the River Thames

The Thames-side village of Cookham was the much-loved home of this great British artist and the river featured strongly in his paintings and life (he was a regular wild-swimmer!). This talk promises a unique insight into the life, work and inspirations of Spencer – presented by Keith Le Page, from the Stanley Spencer galleries where the exhibition ‘Mind and Mortality: Stanley Spencer’s Final Portraits’ is currently being held.
